The kids’ room at the new VYV Apartments in Jersey City, New Jersey provides a truly unique environment for children and their caregivers. The 850 square foot space is flooded with natural light and features high ceilings and natural materials. Every element in the space was selected in support of the VYV brand; an inviting and aspirational identity visually represented through jewel tones and faceted shapes.

Soft seating in geometric forms echo the angular shapes of architectural elements throughout the property. Tones of orange, blue, green, and yellow selected for the play structure and furniture come together in the custom mural. The triangulated gradient of color featuring a full-sized giraffe and bear anchor the room and provide a contemporary but playful vibe to the recreational space.

Three-dimensional origami birds appear to emerge from the mural and create movement within the room. Located on the amenity floor with direct access to the outdoor play area, the room provides a safe place for children to play while parents and caregivers are entertaining or working in the adjacent dining and co-working spaces.
