The research was conducted to evaluate the role of remote work as it pertains to the future of multi-family residential design in a post-pandemic world. As companies move to scale up their remote work capabilities, many have suggested that this paradigm shift could become the new norm—and if America’s workforce begins working primarily from home, how will that change the demands on their space and the amenities they desire?

The research anticipated that a surge in remote work will have significant implications on the programming and design of individual unit spaces. It is paramount that we support residents’ health and well-being, improve their productivity, and allow them to engage with their work and community in safe and meaningful ways. This interior design concept explores studio, 1bed and 2 bed units and the solutions that could generate a flexible work from home space.
